The LEDs are protected by an acrylic shield. Half way down the lamp is where the gooseneck reading lamp extends from the body. The dome shaded 3-Watt reading lamp has an on/off toggle switch for your convenience. The five-way up light switch located underneath the reading light arm adjusts low, medium, high, highest, off.
